# Schedule delivery

Schedule a listing delivery email to send at a specific date and time.

Not ready to send the delivery email right now? Schedule it, and Fotello sends it for you at the date and time you pick.

It's useful when you finish a listing late at night and want it to land in your agent's inbox first thing in the morning, or when a client asks you to hold the gallery until their listing goes live.

### Before you schedule

A scheduled delivery is the same delivery email you would send yourself, so set the listing up the same way first:

* The listing needs a customer assigned.
* Your payment settings and email draft are saved with the schedule, exactly as you leave them.
* Any Cc, Bcc, and attachments you add are kept too.

See [Deliver listing](/university/delivering-listings/deliver-listing.md) for the full delivery checklist.

### Schedule the delivery

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Open the delivery modal**

Go to **Listings**, open the listing, and click **Deliver** in the top right.

You can also schedule from the **Designs** tab when you deliver a listing from there.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Set up the delivery as usual**

Work through the modal the way you normally would: clear any setup notices, choose your payment settings, and review the email draft.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Choose Schedule delivery**

Click the arrow next to **Send Email**, then choose **Schedule delivery**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Pick a date and time**

Choose a day on the calendar and set the time below it. You can schedule up to 90 days ahead.

Under the calendar, Fotello shows you exactly when it will go out, for example **Sends Thu, Oct 16 at 9:00 AM**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Click Schedule**

That's it. The listing is now queued for delivery and you can close the modal.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Times use your business time zone, the one set in [Availability Set Up](/university/availability-and-scheduling/availability-set-up.md). Set it correctly before you schedule so deliveries go out when you expect.
{% endhint %}

### See what's scheduled

On your **Listings** page, a scheduled listing shows a **Scheduled** badge with the date it will go out, so you can spot queued deliveries at a glance.

Open the listing and you'll see **Cancel delivery** where the **Deliver** button usually sits.

### Change or cancel a scheduled delivery

Click **Cancel delivery** on the listing. Fotello confirms the date it was set for and asks whether to go ahead.

* **Cancel delivery** stops it. The email will not be sent.
* **Keep it** leaves the schedule as it is.

To move a delivery to a different time, cancel it and schedule it again with the new date.

{% hint style="warning" %}
While a delivery is scheduled, you can't send that listing right away. Cancel the scheduled delivery first, then deliver it as usual.
{% endhint %}

### When it sends

At the time you picked, your customer gets the delivery email with their assets, payment link, and add-ons, exactly as if you had sent it yourself.

You and anyone assigned to the listing also get a short confirmation email letting you know it went out.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://fotello.co/university/delivering-listings/schedule-delivery.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
