# Adding Photos

Create a listing and upload RAW files or JPEGs by drag and drop. Previews load right away so you can check the set.

Upload photos by dragging and dropping RAW files or JPEGs into Fotello.

Previews load right away so you can sanity-check the set.

### Add photos

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Create a new listing

Click the [New Listing](https://app.fotello.co/dashboard/new-listing) button at the top of the left navigation panel.

Enter the property address to start creating a new listing.<br>

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Add your photos to the listing

Drag your photos into Fotello, straight from your SD card or desktop. Drop them anywhere in the upload area.

You can also click on the pink 'Browse Files' button and select your photos from the pop-up window.

Before uploading, rename files that match an existing image. Add `-v2` or today's date to the filename. Duplicate filenames can cause duplication errors and prevent processing.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Pro tip**

You can upload from your phone or tablet on-site for instant delivery.

Start the upload on Wi-Fi or cellular while you’re still at the property.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Review duplicate photos

Fotello detects duplicate photos during upload.

When a duplicate is found, choose one option:

* **Replace duplicate** — Replace the existing photo with the uploaded photo.
* **Keep all** — Keep both photos in the listing.
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Confirm previews

Wait for thumbnails to appear. Spot-check that every bracket set made it in.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Add more photos from a different device or file location

If you want to add more photos before you start Enhancing, you can click on the "Add more photos" button at the bottom left.

### Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is now available in the App Store. Run your own GTM container across your Website, Order Form, and Delivery Page.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Google Tag Manager requires a connected custom domain.
{% endhint %}

#### Activate Google Tag Manager

1. In Google Tag Manager, create a **Web** container. Its ID looks like `GTM-ABC1234`.
2. Go to **Dashboard → App Store → Google Tag Manager**.
3. Paste the container ID and activate it. It goes live on the next page load. You do not need to republish.
4. In Tag Manager, point your tags at the events on the **Events** tab.

#### What it tracks

| Surface       | Tracking                                                                                                                                                                              |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Website | Contact form submissions fire a `generate_lead` event for ad campaign optimization. |
| Order Form    | Tracks the booking funnel step by step, including `sign_up`, `address_added`, `square_footage_added`, `view_item_list`, `select_item`, `add_to_cart`, `select_slot`, and `view_cart`. |
| Delivery Page | Tracks galleries that agents open, download, and share for retargeting. |

### Best practices

* **Use a unique filename for every upload.** Keep metadata intact. Fotello uses EXIF capture time to auto-group brackets.
* **No need to pre-process anything.** Skip Lightroom exports, resizing, and color tweaks. Upload RAW files straight from camera.

{% hint style="warning" %}

#### Troubleshooting: Missing previews

Previews come from the embedded thumbnail in your RAW file. If thumbnails don’t show up, your files can still edit.

Try these quick checks:

* **Camera settings:** Some cameras can disable embedded RAW previews. Turn it back on for future shoots.
* **Browser:** Brave and other privacy browsers can block previews. Use Chrome for best results.
* **Extensions:** Ad/script blockers can interfere. Disable them, then refresh.

If it still looks off, try an incognito window. Or message our team and we’ll help you sort it fast.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://fotello.co/university/photos/editing/adding-photos.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
