# Preferences

Set perspective correction, window pulls, sky, and other preferences before enhancing so every photo matches your look.

Set preferences to consistently achieve your desired look for every photo in a listing before you click 'Enhance'. Then fine-tune per photo in the [Adjust panel](broken://spaces/9bFz3iNv5JjEmRK1wNQO/pages/Wuu22zprZvaZ6sFI4HNu) after the listing has finished processing.

### Perspective Correction

Use **Perspective Correction** to straighten vertical lines. It’s smart. It avoids over-correcting extreme angles.

Keep it **On** for most interiors and exteriors. Turn it **Off** for drone shots or steep downward angles (like loft-to-living-room shots).

### Sky Style

Choose the sky style Fotello applies to your photos. It can replace outdoor skies and skies visible through interior windows. Fotello subtly repositions the sky per photo. That avoids a repeated “pasted sky” look across a set.

{% hint style="info" %}
Use the **Scope** dropdown to choose where Sky Style applies:

* **Interior** replaces skies visible through windows.
* **Exterior** replaces skies in exterior photos.
* **All** replaces skies in both photo types.

Sky Style is separate from the one used in [Twilight](/university/photos/twilight.md).
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://3077795705-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F9bFz3iNv5JjEmRK1wNQO%2Fuploads%2FAAGXTAbfrJIttraiXHU4%2Fsky-style.png?alt=media&amp;token=983a5c16-5279-482b-b0b7-f2010e53b264" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Pick an included style:

* Sunny puffs
* Loaded puffs
* Streaks & puffs
* Sweep streaks
* Scatter streaks
* Crisp streaks
* Clear fade
* Original (turns sky replacement off)

Or upload your own sky to match your brand.

#### Upload your own sky

1. In **Sky Style**, click **Upload**.
2. Select a sky image from your computer.
3. Your uploaded skies stay in your account for reuse. Your whole [Team](/university/teams/teams.md) can use them too.

#### Best practices for custom skies

* Use high-resolution images (avoid banding and compression artifacts).
* Use images that are only sky (no houses, trees, or skylines).
* Match the scene’s light direction and time of day.

### Screens & Fireplaces

Fill a TV screen and light a fireplace across a whole listing, without opening each photo.

Select the **Interior** category, then set either option:

* **TV Screen** finds the TV in each interior photo and fills its screen.
* **Fireplace** finds the fireplace in each interior photo and adds a fire.

Pick one of the built-in options, upload your own image, or choose **Off** to leave them untouched.

{% hint style="info" %}
These apply to interior photos. For the per-photo controls, see [Personalized TV Screen](/university/photos/personalizing-photos/tv-screen.md) and [Fireplace](/university/photos/personalizing-photos/fireplace.md).
{% endhint %}

### Enhancement Style

<figure><img src="https://3077795705-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F9bFz3iNv5JjEmRK1wNQO%2Fuploads%2F0TkRwNkgjPCjKyRdRejG%2Fenhancement-style.png?alt=media&amp;token=654f6162-45b5-4024-909b-468805a70651" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Pick the overall editing “personality” using the **Enhancement Style**.

#### Signature

Produces a premium, hand-blended look. Use it for a more finished, editorial feel with minimum casts and punchy colors.

#### Natural

Produces edits closer to your RAW files. Use this style when you want more balanced edits that look minimally retouched.

After enhancing, you can switch the styles using adjustment panel.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://fotello.co/university/photos/editing/preferences.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
