# Batch Edit

Apply the same adjustment, upscale, or AI edit to many photos at once, and download or archive them together.

Batch Edit lets you apply the same action to multiple photos at once.

Use it to adjust a whole selection at once, upscale a full set, run one AI edit across several photos, or download and archive a group together.

### Turn on Batch Edit

Open any photo in a listing in the full-screen view, then click **Batch Edit** in the top bar.

<figure><img src="https://3077795705-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F9bFz3iNv5JjEmRK1wNQO%2Fuploads%2F1qNgjYQOElfvGjvfsFsP%2FScreenshot%202026-07-07%20at%2012.16.30%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=6df3dc4e-7b2e-4476-8223-bb7a096103df" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Select your photos

Once Batch Edit is on, a checkbox appears on each thumbnail in the film strip at the bottom.

<figure><img src="https://3077795705-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F9bFz3iNv5JjEmRK1wNQO%2Fuploads%2F9FDjXiWgA6hh3kcmsVmX%2FScreenshot%202026-07-07%20at%2012.03.17%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=5ee30625-e116-4dbf-a9c1-06ac92e8ad31" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Click the photos you want to include. The top bar shows how many photos are selected.

To go back to editing one photo at a time, click **Edit single**.

### Batch Edit options

The following Batch Edit options are available on Free and Partner plans.

#### Foton 10.0 Styles

Choose a Foton 10.0 model and style for the selected photos:

* **Signature**
* **Natural**

#### My Profiles

Apply one of your saved profiles to every selected photo. Build and rename profiles while editing a single photo, then reuse them here. See [My Profiles](/university/photos/personalizing-photos/my-profiles.md).

#### Basic, Color, Tone, and Detail

Click a heading to reveal its sliders, then set them for the whole selection:

* **Basic** sets Exposure and Contrast.
* **Color** sets Temp, Tint, and Saturation.
* **Tone** sets Highlights, Shadows, Whites, and Blacks.
* **Detail** sets Sharpening and Softness.
* **Manual Lens Correction** sets Distortion.

A slider shows a value when every selected photo already shares it. Otherwise it starts at the default, and moving it sets that value across the selection.

#### Aspect Ratio

Crop every selected photo to the same ratio. See [Aspect Ratio](/university/photos/personalizing-photos/aspect-ratio.md).

#### Sky Style

Choose a built-in sky or upload a custom sky:

* **Sunny puffs**, **Loaded puffs**, **Streaks & puffs**, and **Sweep streaks**
* **Scatter streaks**, **Crisp streaks**, and **Clear fade**
* **Original**

#### Options

* **Upscale with Topaz Gigapixel**
* **Grass Enhancement** — free for 30 days
* **Grass Replacement**

#### Personalize It to Match Your Style

Apply a Foton AI 10.0 prompt or select a suggested action:

* Remove clutter, remove humans, or remove camera & photographer.
* Slightly blow out exterior or add green grass.
* Add fire to fireplace.

#### Branding and compliance

Add a company or customer logo. Choose its **Position** before applying it.

You can also choose a disclaimer and its **Position** in **Compliance**.

### Adjust selected photos

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Pick your photos

With Batch Edit on, click the photos you want in the film strip.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Apply a profile, sliders, or a crop

Choose a profile under **My Profiles**, move the sliders under **Basic**, **Color**, **Tone**, **Detail**, or **Manual Lens Correction**, or pick a ratio under **Aspect Ratio**.

Every change lands on all the selected photos as you make it.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Compare before and after

Press and hold the eye icon next to **My Profiles** to see the open photo as it was, then release to return to the adjusted version.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

To undo the adjustments across your selection, click the reset icon next to **My Profiles**.

Profiles, sliders, and ratios behave the same way as they do for one photo in [Adjust Panel Overview](/university/photos/personalizing-photos/adjust-panel-overview.md).

### Upscale selected photos

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Open the Batch Edit panel

With your photos selected, open the **Batch Edit** panel.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Turn on Upscale

Under **Options**, turn on **Upscale with Topaz Gigapixel**.

<figure><img src="https://3077795705-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F9bFz3iNv5JjEmRK1wNQO%2Fuploads%2FdlBlyEfYDLUDEK4mGmM1%2FScreenshot%202026-07-07%20at%2012.14.06%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=31076ee0-f013-4256-ad4d-b6496ebb4368" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Fotello reprocesses every selected photo at a higher resolution and gets them ready to download. Turn the toggle off to remove upscaling from the selected photos.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

For more on when to use it and pricing, see [Upscale](/university/photos/personalizing-photos/upscale.md).

### Grass Style for selected photos

Under **Options** in the **Batch Edit** panel, turn on **Grass Enhancement** to green up dull or patchy lawns across your selection. Turn the toggle off to remove the enhancement.

Turn on **Grass Replacement** to replace bare or heavily worn lawns across your selection. Grass Replacement is a Pay as You Go feature.

For more, see [Grass](/university/photos/personalizing-photos/grass.md).

### AI edit selected photos

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Describe the change

In the **Batch Edit** panel, find **Personalize It to Match Your Style** and type what you want to change.

You can pick a suggested prompt to get started, use **/** for tools, and **@** to reference other listing photos. Add reference images when you want a very specific look.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Apply to every selected photo

Send your request. Fotello applies the same edit to all the selected photos and lets you know how many are being edited.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

The same prompts, tools, and reference options work the same way as single-photo edits in [AI Revisions](/university/photos/personalizing-photos/ai-revisions.md).

#### Reset AI edits

To undo AI edits across your selection, click the reset icon next to **Personalize It to Match Your Style**, then confirm.

### Twilight selected photos

If Twilight is part of your plan, you can turn a whole set of daytime exteriors into twilight shots at once.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Open the Twilight tab

With your photos selected, click the **Twilight** icon in the sidebar's icon bar to switch to the **Twilight** tab.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Choose a sky style

Pick an included sky style, or upload your own. This works like a single-photo Twilight in [Twilight](/university/photos/twilight.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Create for every selected photo

Click **Create**. Fotello creates twilight variations for all the selected photos.

Click any variation to open that photo and keep fine-tuning it.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Download or archive a selection

While photos are selected, you can also:

* **Download** the selected photos together at the resolution you choose.
* **Archive all** of the selected photos in one step.

### Restore archived photos

You can restore archived photos to the listing at any time.

1. Open the listing.
2. Click the archive icon next to **Download for Web**.

<figure><img src="https://3077795705-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F9bFz3iNv5JjEmRK1wNQO%2Fuploads%2Fug7o9RUpZH4VAXozjeQG%2FScreenshot%202026-08-03%20at%204.10.59%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=ecc97b35-18e4-4939-ac4c-9696f52233c7" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. Review the archived photos now shown in the listing.
4. Click the unarchive icon on a photo to restore it.

<figure><img src="https://3077795705-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F9bFz3iNv5JjEmRK1wNQO%2Fuploads%2F6mOiq3VhHeLich4Sisnh%2FScreenshot%202026-08-03%20at%204.10.48%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=68bfa979-72b5-4c54-924c-e7a2a363418c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The photo returns to the listing after you unarchive it.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://fotello.co/university/photos/personalizing-photos/batch-edit.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
